Interior painting takes more coordination and preparation than exterior work — and the difference between a good job and a great one is in that prep. Here’s what comes standard on every Marcel Painting interior project:
- All carpet, tile and hardwood protected with drop cloths, plastic or builder paper
- Furniture moved to the center of the room and covered with plastic
- Switch plates, outlet covers, shades, blinds and curtains removed and reinstalled
- Ceiling and wall stains sealed with primer
- Nail holes and small cracks filled; door jambs, baseboards and crowns caulked
- All wood cleaned before painting; every repair from your estimate completed
- Careful wallpaper removal — switching methods if removal risks the wallboard
